Bollywood star Shahid Kapoor is all set to hit the silver screen very soon with his upcoming movie “Padmavati”. He said, he is more than happy to be a part of this historic movie and is privileged to work under the great filmmaker, Sanjay Leela Bhansali.
A small question and answer session on Twitter was held this Tuesday, where a user out of curiosity asked him about his experience with Bhansali. The talented actor answered, “it was pleasure and a privilege to work under such a great personality.”
In the movie Padmavati, Shahid will be seen playing the role of Raja Rawal Ratan Singh, who is the reel husband of Deepika Padukone akka Rani Padmavati.
Another fan asked Shahid, what he liked about his character? He replied, “Courageous, fearless and respectful towards women.”
As the movie is a periodic one, the filmmaker has worked very minutely on each and every part of the scenes. They have taken extra care of Shahid’s regal look and each costume was made perfectly replicating to Rajput glory at its best.
Designer Harpreet Narula informed that extra effort was put behind the making of every costume. In fact, organic fabrics from Rajasthan were used and 22 local artisans worked on them for perfection.
The designer also revealed that pure muslin cloth was used as the base while vegetable dye or hand dye was used for the embroidery purpose. Colour is the main asset of Rajasthani outfits so every costume has been made beyond perfection.
The audience is eagerly waiting to see Padmavati. The other good news is that the actor also confirmed that post Padmavati, he will be seen in yet another project.
Opposite Deepika Padukone and Shahid, actor Ranveer Singh will be seen sharing the screen. You can see the film on the big screen on 1st of December, 2017.
